Gutters Overflowing, Sagging, or Pulling Away?
When gutters sag or detach under the weight of winter snow, roof runoff spills directly into basement window wells and foundation walls.
Then skip the form and call us. We provide prompt inspections, emergency re-securing, corner leak resealing, and downspout clear-outs to keep runoff moving away from your home.
Signs Your Gutter System Is Failing
Utah’s intense freeze-thaw cycles, winter snow loads, and windblown debris place heavy mechanical stress on your gutter line. If you notice any of these warning signs, your drainage system is compromised:
Gutters Pulling Away from the Roofline
Heavy snow and ice buildup rip standard spike-and-ferrule hangers straight out of the wood. When gutters pull forward, runoff spills behind the trough and rots your fascia board.
Water Spilling Over During Normal Rainfall
If water sheets over the edge during moderate rain, your troughs are either undersized (5-inch vs. 6-inch), improperly sloped, or clogged with shingle granules and debris.
Peeling Paint, Rot, or Water Marks on Fascia & Siding
Staining on the wood behind your gutters or dirty streaks on your exterior walls mean water is leaking through failed corner seams or overflowing behind the back lip.
Erosion, Puddling, or Clay Soil Foundation Stress
Local clay soil expands when roof runoff dumps near your perimeter. This creates severe hydrostatic pressure that cracks basement walls, leaks into window wells, and heaves concrete flatwork.
Not sure if you need a targeted reseal, new downspout extensions, or a complete seamless upgrade? We inspect your gutter line and fascia boards, show you photo documentation, and provide an honest recommendation.
Comprehensive Gutter & Drainage Services
From on-site seamless fabrication to foundation drainage extensions and winter heat trace systems, we install complete roof water management systems.
Seamless Gutter Systems & Custom Sizing
- On-Site Seamless Gutter Fabrication: Heavy-gauge aluminum troughs custom-rolled to the exact inch in your driveway. Zero mid-run seams to split in freezing weather, secured with hidden brackets screwed into the fascia.
- Custom Sizing (5-Inch & High-Capacity 6-Inch): We size your troughs and downspouts to your specific roof pitch and surface area, ensuring high-volume capacity for steep roofs and sudden Wasatch cloudbursts.
Gutter Replacement & Fascia Restoration
- Complete Gutter Tear-Off & Replacement: Careful removal and recycling of dented, rusted, or leaking sectional gutters without damaging your drip edge or existing roof shingles.
- Fascia Board Repair & Rot Replacement: We inspect the wood behind your old gutters. Any rotted, soft, or water-damaged fascia boards are replaced with fresh lumber and sealed before new heavy-duty screw hangers are installed.
Water Diversion & Downspout Extensions
- Oversized Downspout Upgrades (3×4-Inch): Replacing restrictive small downspouts with commercial-capacity spouts that drain large volumes quickly without clogging from twigs or leaves.
- Surface & Buried Drainage Extensions: We install hinged cleanout extensions or connect spouts into underground lines to discharge runoff 6–10+ feet away from basement walls and landscaping.
Clog Prevention & Freeze Defense
- Gutter Guard & Micro-Mesh Filtration: Premium aluminum guards that lock out cottonwood fluff, scrub oak leaves, and pine needles while maintaining maximum water flow and ending seasonal ladder maintenance.
- Self-Regulating De-Icing Heat Cable: Commercial-grade heat trace cables installed in gutters, downspouts, and roof valleys to create melt pathways, preventing destructive winter ice dams and frozen downspouts.
Because gutters are part of your complete roof system, we verify your drip edge, eave flashing, and roofline alignment during every visit.
What Affects Gutter Installation Cost?
Every gutter project is calculated by linear footage, height, and water management requirements:
Linear Footage & Roof Geometry
Total perimeter length, number of inside/outside corners, and multi-story access requirements.
Gutter Sizing (5" vs. 6")
6-inch oversized gutters hold nearly 40% more water volume than standard 5-inch gutters, requiring heavier hangers and larger downspouts.
Material & Color Options
Durable heavy-gauge aluminum with baked-on enamel finishes versus heavy-duty steel or specialty metals.
Fascia Wood Repairs
Whether rotted wood discovered behind old gutters must be replaced before installing new hangers.
Add-Ons (Guards & Heat Trace)
Micro-mesh leaf protection systems or self-regulating winter de-icing cables.
Because pitch, corners, and fascia health vary on every home, we don’t guess from the street. You receive a firm, itemized written price after a free on-site inspection.

I was quite impressed with Matthew. He sent me a text to let me know he was on his way and he was actually on my doorstep probably less than one hour after I contacted them. We had a mystery roof leak that was dripping water through a can light in our hallway each time we've had a downpour of heavy rain. He quickly diagnosed the problem, made the repairs, checked in my attic for residual moisture, and left me with a warranty, and all was done in probably less than a couple of hours. He was very personable and pleasant to work with. I have confidence I don't need to worry anymore whenever we get a heavy rainstorm!Posted on Google![]()

Here's the deal, we made a mistake. We didn't go with Rooval Roofing for our new roof and we are regretting it now. We picked a company that wasn't as highly rated, but was a bit cheaper. We got what we paid for. Our roof has numerous issues and we aren't happy. We talked with Rooval and even though we didn't contract them for our roof they are still nice enough to help fix the problems we are having. This is a classic example of "you get what you pay for" so if you're on the fence I hope this review sways you in the right direction, and Rooval Roofing is the right choice! The company and its employees are first class. Don't make the mistake we did. The shortest road is always the longest.Posted on Google![]()

Gutters & Drainage FAQs
Why should I choose seamless gutters over store-bought sectional gutters?
Sectional gutters from big-box stores are pieced together every 10 feet with caulked joints that inevitably leak, warp, and catch debris. Seamless gutters are custom-extruded on-site in one continuous piece from corner to corner, eliminating mid-run seams and dramatically reducing leak points.
Should I choose 5-inch or 6-inch gutters for my Utah home?
While 5-inch gutters work on smaller, low-slope roofs, we generally recommend 6-inch seamless gutters for Utah homes. 6-inch troughs hold roughly 40% more water, accommodating intense summer downpours, steep roof pitches, and heavy winter slush without overflowing.
How do heat cables prevent ice dams?
Self-regulating heat cables don’t melt all the snow on your roof; instead, they melt open channels through heavy snow and ice at the eaves and downspouts. This allows pooling meltwater to drain freely rather than backing up under your shingles and into your home.
Can you replace rotted fascia boards during the gutter installation?
Yes. If we uncover rotted or soft wood once old gutters are removed, our crew removes the damaged wood and installs fresh, primed fascia before mounting the new gutters. We disclose our per-foot wood replacement rate upfront.
Do gutter guards really work in Utah?
Yes, for debris. High-quality micro-mesh and aluminum screen guards effectively keep out cottonwood fluff, scrub oak leaves, and pine needles so water drains freely. However, gutters and guards should work alongside proper attic ventilation and insulation to minimize winter ice damming.
